The friction material is the most important part of a brake since it determines braking performance. Our efforts to find 

more effective friction material is always an ongoing job. As expected, Yamaha is always ahead of these social and industrial 

needs because of our regular R&D efforts.

All parts must pass very tough performance and durability tests before they qualify as genuine Yamaha parts. 

These tests include adhesion tests between the pressure plate and the friction material, wear tests, vibration tests, spray

 tests and resistance to cold temperature tests. All Yamaha brake components are subjected to each of these

 tests because brake reliability is essential to your safety.
